The Youth Citizen's Police Academy was started in 2001 for boys or girls between the ages of 8 and 13 years. This academy attempts to expand the participant's knowledge of the Law Enforcement profession. Their exposure ranges from drug and alcohol education and school violence, to crime scene investigation, bicycle safety, firearms safety, outdoor activities, and other events.
